This Autumn
I always say, “No, this year I won’t take a bunch of pictures of leaves. I don’t need rolls and rolls of fall leaves. This is getting ridiculous. I’m running out of room to store them.”
And yet.
We had a Mexican food potluck at work the other day.
And I brought (what else!?) the funeral potatoes.
This is me pretending my XA2 is my Kiev 88...
This roll was awfully depressing as far as grain and dust and lint go. No matter how much I cleaned those negatives, there was lint that… gosh, I dunno, seemed like it was apart of the damn film or something.
So… I probably won’t be touching that batch of expired film ever again. Too bad.
I can cook. Really, I can.
Whether or not I can color correct is another story altogether.
For the bookworms and the architecture lovers alike
I love the downtown library here in Salt Lake City (designed by Moshe Safdie, a little more info about that at the link), and some of my favorite photos were taken in that building… of that building. Felt like sharing I guess.
Right before I shot this, an employee came out and - in the best rural western accent I’ve ever heard - shouted, “Whatchoo doin?! Whatchoo takin’ pictures of?!”
So I felt I had to go inside and buy something (got a soda). I know I didn’t have to, but one never wants to get on bad terms with the locals after all.
Last Weekend
From the cabin.
I have more photos, of course, but the first thing I did was scan my instant film. Next? I get to sift through all of those D90 photos. And videos! And I will be unleashing at least one of those videos on the poor masses. Be ready.
A more typical diafine result. The kind where I’ve adjusted the crap out of the levels.
